Nainital, a hill station in the state of Uttrakhand in north India, is known for its lakes and breathtakingly stunning views of the Himalayas. The most famous lake in the town is Naini Lake surrounded by towering mountain peaks. The goddess Shakti is worshipped at Naina Devi temple on the north shore of the lake.
