Indian Cricket Team is currently in Zimbabwe to play the three One Day International (ODI) matches. India Zimbabwe ODI series forms a part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. KL Rahul recently underwent a groin surgery and after recovery makes a comeback. He made a successful return to the Indian team during the first ODI against Zimbabwe, where he led the side. Although he didn’t bat as the side won comfortably leading India to a 1-0 victory in the three match series. However his gesture before the national anthem heaped praises on the social media. The netizens appreciated KL Rahul’s gesture, when the batsman spitted out chewing gum before the national anthem. Here is the video captured.

Team India began the series on a strong note in the series against Zimbabwe. Not only did they win, but produced an overall dominating show all throughout the game. After bowling the hosts out for 189, India registered a thumping 10-wicket victory in the first ODI in Harare.
Although Shubman Gill (82) and Shikhar Dhawan (81) got the win, KL Rahul’s gesture overpowered all the heroics. Before the national anthem, the Indian captain took out the gum as a mark of respect. It did not go unnoticed as the netizens showered him with praises and love.
