Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor starrer spy thriller Night Manager’s trailer got released on Friday. Based on John Le Carre’s bestseller namesake, the show also a remake of British series.
Filmmakers released Spy Thriller Night Manager Trailer yesterday. Series features the versatile and evergreen Anil Kapoor in a ruthless avatar and the talented Aditya Roy Kapoor. Needless to say, the trailer has left the fans with mixed opinions. Characters of Anil Kapoor (Shailendra ‘Shelly’ Rungta, an evil arms dealer who is on the search list of the Indian Intelligence. Aditya on the other hand plays Shaan the Night manager of the Hotel.
The trailer shows Aditya in the snow trying to escape. Also, it reflects Aditya’s character in a confusion stuck between Shailendra’s probe and affection for his girlfriend (Sobhita Dhulipala). Subsequently, it leads to the comprising of the mission.
Fans give mixed reviews to Night Manager Trailer
As soon as the trailer released, Fans offered. There were some who praised the trailer for production value and characters. However, there were others who just rated the show as just another remake. As expected, Anil Kapoor as the arms dealer just rules the screen and delivers an impactful performance. Also, there were many who applauded the makers for the amazing visuals.

While most reviews about Night Manager Trailer were positive, there were some which supported the predecessor. Here are some of the reviews that went against the series. For the unversed, ‘The Night Manager’ is the namesake of the original British series. Its British predecessor starred Tom Hiddleston as a night manager, who infiltrates an arms dealer’s (Hugh Laurie) organization as a police mole. The series received critically acclaim and a special applause for the leads.
“The original is just magnificent. Should not have been remade,” wrote one viewer. Another argued, “I hope someday Bollywood would come up with their own originals than remake.”

Sandeep Modi has directed the show ‘The Night Manager’. Besides the above-mentioned stars, the show also features also Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Ravi Behl in key roles. Priyanka Ghosh has Co-directed the show and The Ink Factory and Banijay Asia has produced it. It streams on Disney+ Hotstar from February 17.
