What is Met Gala?
Met Gala or Metball is considered as the world’s “Fashion’s Biggest and Most Glamourous Night”. Hollywood’s high profile mega-event has gained popularity over the years. Celebrities from the world of Fashion, Entertainment, Business, Sports and Politics grace the pages of Vogue. Met Gala 2022 raises funds for the benefits of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Vogue Haute Coutre magazine organizes the event and marks the beginning of the Annual Fashion exhibit in New York City.
Met Gala Theme, Date and chairperson
Met Gala organizers release a theme for the megaevent every year. This year the theme focusses on ,”In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” The dress code of the event is Gilded Glamour between 1870 to 1890 . Met Gala is on the first Monday of May 2nd. All the celebrities will wear outrageous and out of the box ensembles. The hosts of the show are actors La La Anthony and Vanessa Hudgens, along with Vogue editor at large Hamish Bowles shall host the mega show. Vogue will stream the Met Gala 2022 on its website, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

- So far Rihanna has not confirmed. Also actress Zendaya won’t attend the Met Gala.
Which designers will celebrities wear this year?
This year the celebrities shall wear American designers. Last year the actors chose European labels such as Balenciaga, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Givenchy and Chanel.
Besides, the celebrities DeuxMoi, Olivia Rodrigo, Kristen Stewart, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Megan Fox, and Machine Gun Kelly may also make an appearance. The popular Instagram account, Diet Sabya, shared a scoop with their followers that Deepika Padukone might also walk the red carpet at the event.
