For the first time Shark Tank India saw a blank cheque offered to a contestant. Pune-based entrepreneur Ajinkya Dhariya had appeared on Shark Tank Season 2 to pitch for a sanitary pad. His displayed product was a sanitary pad disposal machine called Padcare. The contestant also listed several ways through which napkins could be reused and recycled. Investor asked for Rs 50 lakh in exchange of 2 per cent equity.
His pitch and product impressed the judges. Curious to know what he received! While Anupam praised the effort, Peyush Bansal asked the investor to quote his asking price. On the other hand, the investor wished the sharks to come together for the deal. Also, the Padman owner opened up on working with ISRO for a project. Even the boat co-founder praised the co-founder as the modern Padman.
