Punjab singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on Sunday evening in Punjab
Unknown assailants shot dead Punjab Singer and Politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, aka Sidhu Moosewala . Singer was shot in Jawaharke village of Mansa district in Punjab. Incident happened following the decision of Punjab Police to take the security of 424 people including the singer. Punjab Government recently took a step to eliminate the VIP culture. Recently Moosewala’s father filed an FIR to the Punjab Police . He revealed that several gangsters were threatening his son.
Sidhu Moosewala’s father blames the government for removal of son’s security
The incident took place a day after Punjab withdrew the security of 424 people, including Moose Wala. Immediately a case was registered against the accused under Sections 302, 307, and 341 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25 & 27 of the Arms Act at City-1 Mansa Police Station. Additionally his anguished father wrote a mail to the Chief Minister. Here is an excerpt of the letter. MooseWala’s father witnessed attack. He revealed that his son did not take his bulletproof car.

Sidhu Moosewala’s father claimed that he saw the attack. This is what the father had to say about his son. “On Sunday, my son left with his friends Gurwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh in a Thar car. He did not take the bulletproof Fortuner and the two guards with him. I followed him in another car with the two armed personnel. Within minutes, the cars sped away. I started shouting and people gathered. I rushed my son and his friends to the hospital where he died,” Singh said in his complaint, reported by NDTV. According to a CCTV footage, a Sedan and SUV followed Moosewala’s car on Sunday evening . He wrote a letter to Punjab and demanded a CIA and CBI probe. However Moosewala’s family has refused a Postmortem of the singer’s body. Police has formed an investigation team to probe the incident.
