Onir and Swara Bhasker came strongly at the netizens attacking Deepika Padukone’s Besharam Rang. Pathaan’s song picturized on Deepika and SRK has come under heavy criticism from netizens and some political leaders.
Amidst the ongoing Pathaan controversy, Bollywood celebrities Swara Bhasker and Onir have come to filmmaker’s rescue. Netizens have slammed Deepika Padukone’s Besharam Rang for revealing too much. As the protests grew, Swara and Onir have slammed the netizens’ reaction to the track. Recently the Madhya Pradesh minister asked for a ban of the song in the state. Actress Swara poured her anguish on Twitter and wrote.
“Miliye humare desh ke sattadhari netaon se. Abhinetriyon ke kapde dekhne se fursat milti, to kya pata kuch kar bhi lete (Meet our country’s leaders in power. They may have done some work, had they had some time left after oggling at actor’s dresses) (sic).”

Filmmaker Onir lends support to Deepika Padukone’s Besharam Rang, calls haters with Sick Mentality
As soon as the teaser of Pathaan song ‘Besharam Rang’ went on air, hell broke loose. Many referred to the movie as P*RN, while their were others who questioned morality of the actors. There also have been huge protests asking for the ban of the movie in the theatres. Filmmaker Onir penned the following remarks offering his suppoort.
“Yucks .., sick mentality . Use of words like “ allows” “ tolerate” shows that he belongs to that tribe of men who thinks an husband owns the women . And only a vulgar mindset could make a montage like this . Retired and now nothing better to do than zoom in pics n spread hate (sic).”
Onir slammed those who criticized the movie
Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand and bankrolled by Yash Raj Studios. Besides SRK and Deepika, the film stars John Abraham in the lead role.
Besharam Rang, the first song of Pathaan, was released on December 12, 2022. As far as the film is concerned, the movie is scheduled for release on January 25, 2023.
