Both Varun and Kiara referenced characters before preparing for Jug Jugg Jiyo

The lead pair of Jug Jugg Jiyo admitted asking a lot of friends and couples who underwent separation. To bring life to the characters, the actors wanted to go through the emotional grind. Since the characters they played relied on their experiences, they considered it necessary to understand the nuisances. The storyline involves the couple on the brink of divorce. The reel couple admitted meeting a real-life couple who was about to get a divorce. Jug Jugg Jiyo shows the couple Kukoo and Naina as an NRI couple. Both decide to hold on to some time before revealing the secret. While Kiara said she learnt from her parents wedding, Varun shared experiences about him and Natasha’s. Varun even talked about a boy, who caught his father cheating on his mother. In JugJugg Jeeyo, Varun’s character also comes to term with his father wanting to divorce his mother.

Jug Jugg Jiyo goes on floors on June 24

Johar’s Dharma Productions and Viacom18 studios have produced Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Raj Mehta directed JugJugg Jeeyo and it releases in theatres on June 24.
