Tara Sutaria turned showstopper at Lakme Week in an ensemble that just vowed people. She dazzled the stage in an intricate and delicate ensemble with an off-shoulder long-sleeved choli. Bringing on her own take on the Trencadis or the mosaic tilework of Barcelona, Aditi Rao’s collection was a delight. Tara Sutaria’s Lehanga is Catalan Era and Gothic Churches inspired
Tara Sutaria’s beautifully decorated Lehenga spoke a thousand words. Accompanied by an off-shoulder choli and a veil, she stunned the ramp. Also, there were others like Genelia D’Souza and Aditi Rao Hydari who turned showstoppers on the fourth day of the Lakme Fashion Week 2022. A wide range of Sarees, dresses, Lehengas and Cholis added to the charm of the ensembles. Their hue also included Spanish red and lapis lazuli blue in the form of motifs of nature, landscapes and sculptural forms. Extensive use of georgette dobby fabric with gold and silver filament and a brocade enhanced the beauty further. Additional imprints and shinning badla work summed the drama while sequins encrusted the outfits for added drama.
Giving men some options to choose from, Aisha showcased a printed long-sleeved shirt, and a glittering tunic shirt with long-sleeves with tie-ups teamed with shimmering trousers. The traditional look was brought in with an ornate bundie over a brown kurta and narrow pants or a gleaning sherwani with fitted trousers.

This time Aditi Rao’s Spanish inspired collection combined the flavour of Spanish art and Indian festivities. In her own words, the ace designer said that Catalan culture inspired her to come up with Tara Sutaria’s Lehenga.
“With Trencadís, I bring architecture, art and literature from the Catalan culture with exuberant prints for the contemporary global mood of the generation. The collection is fun yet can double for key occasions. It’s the same line being eclectic yet opulent.”
