Bollywood Actress Taapsee requested her fans to boycott her upcoming film Dobaaraa. She expressed a desire to be in the same league as Amir Khan and Akshay Kumar

Amir Khan and Akshay Kumar have recently received backlash due to the controversy of their movies. Amir became a victim of netizens ire due to his ‘India’s growing Intolerance’ remark. Akshay received netizens wrath due to the similar content resembling a Pakistani movie. The movies under target are ‘Amir’s Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan‘.

Netizens are spreading the word not to watch both the movies. The rage has caught fire to an extent that #boycottlaalsinghchaddha and #boycottrakshabandhan is trending on social media Twitter for a long time now. Amidst the row, Bollywood actress Taapsee requested Dobaaraa boycott. Dobaaraa is Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming movie that discusses the subject of time travel. A very unusual request from Taapsee has come to boycott her own movie Dobaara. When asked about the same, the actress says she feels left out and expressed a desire to be in the same league as Amir and Akshay.

Netizens have trolled both Amir and Akshay’s upcoming movies. With the hashtag of their movies boycott trending, Taapsee had questioned fans behaviour. Additionally, she pointed out that the fans who criticize the movies and ask for their boycott themselves watch in the theatres. Replying to the question and indirectly supporting Amir and Akshay’s movie she replied,”Please everyone boycott our film, Dobaaraa. I want to be in the same league as Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan. I feel left out.” To which, Anurag added, “Yes please, I want our film to trend on the boycott hashtag as well.”

In her upcoming movie Taapsee is donning double avatars in a mysterious surroundings. A great script, it will be a great treat for the audience as she showcases her talent in two looks without any double role. Dobaaraa shall reveal her struggles, as she decodes the answers to the puzzles around her building the suspense of the film. Movie is hitting the theatres on August 19.
