Actress Taapsee Pannu Shines as Mithali Raj
Taapsee Pannu has shared the movie trailer of Shabaash Mithu. Directed by Srijit Mukherji. The film depicts the former captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team Mithali Raj. Taapsee Pannu shines as Mithali Raj in the trailer.
At the start of the trailer, it shows Mithali as Taapsee in her batting hitting shots and in the background, the crowd is hooting the name of India. After that, it shows the girl has the dream to have an Indian Women’s Team like the Indian Men’s Team. Further in the trailer, Vijay Raaz, a coach, appreciates the young girl’s talent and he further supports her. He even talks to Mithali’s family to allow her to play her passionate game cricket. Her family allows her and she starts practicing cricket. But her journey has many ups and downs.
The trailer also shows her early days in the Academy where she was tease by her fellow mates. However, she didn’t give up and never looked back. She played and practiced hard and won the title of captain of the Indian Women Cricket. The trailer also highlights that Mithali has also said to have the jersey of their names written on it. She said to board members of the cricket team that they don’t want male cricketers’ blue jerseys, they want their own names written on the blue jerseys. They want to make their own identity despite other facilities.
