RRR Box Office Collection In Japan Sets a New Record

Actors NTR Jr and Ram Charan are on cloud nine. The movie had created a havoc at the worldwide Box Office and now is repeating the success in Japan as well.

South Indian movies have taken the Bollywood by storm. Starting from the biggest hit Bahubali, the industry had some of the best movie releases of the year. KGF, KGF 2 and now RRR, these movies have set the records. SS Rajamouli‘s RRR has hit the screens in Japan. Needless to say, the movie has replicated the success of its Indian version. According to the reports, RRR Box Office Collection in Japan has set a new record. The movie broke the record for Prabhas starrer movie Saaho.

RRR Box Office Collection exceeds its Predecessor, sets a new record

RRR released on October 21 in Japan and has been running strong ever since at the Box Office. So far RRR Box Office Collection in Japan enabled it to break the earlier record that Prabhas starrer movie Saaho had set. For the unversed, Saaho had collected Rs 90 lakh on day one of its release in Japan. The period drama earned ¥65 million (Rs 3.61 crores) in its opening weekend, ¥18 million (Rs 1.06 crore) which is the highest figure for any Indian movie in Japan.

RRR is the biggest release for any Indian movie

RRR opened at more than 200 locations in the country. Movie might end up as three Indian movies at the Japanese Box Office. It would be interesting to see if the filmmakers try to release it in other countries, especially in China to add more moolah to the overall numbers.
