Richa Chadha wrote a lengthy apology letter after one of her Tweets bought storm on the social media. In the tweet, the actor opens up about her family legacy and how it is associated with sacrifices for the country. However, now the actress has apologized for her Tweet. Richa’s Galwan Tweet, ‘Galwan says hi’ as she commented on Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi. Netizens showered their anger and referred to her as ‘shameful’ and ‘disgraceful’ in several posts. They accused Richa for mocking the sacrifice of the Jawans during the 2020 Indo-China clash of Galwan and disrespecting the Indian army. Offering her apologies, she mentioned that her tweet was unintentional and wasn’t meant to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Richa apologized on Twitter after her Tweet invited Netizens anger on the social media. Her Galwan Tweet controversy consisting of three words, ‘Galwan says Hi’ just sparked commotion among the fans. Claiming that her maternal grandfather was shot with a bullet in the leg during the Indo-China war, she wrote it was not her intention.
“Even though it can never be my intention, in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the Fauj of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part. As a Lt. Col, he took a bullet in the leg in the Indo-China war, in the 1960s. My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It’s in my blood (sic).”

Claiming that her family too underwent some testing times as a couple of her family members sacrificed their lives for the country. Major Gaurav Arya also felt the remarks were in extremely bad taste.
Lawyer Vineet Jain filed a police complaint against the actor’s tweet, demanding her arrest in the case. Richa’s tweet was deemed ‘anti-national’ by many people on social media including several politicians and political workers.
