Famed director of the international award winning movie recently opened to an interview with an American publication. For the unversed, the director is currently basking in glory after his movie RRR has won popular and critical awards at the International and domestic levels. Movie starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, won multiple awards in the US recently. Besides, the movie also is in strong standing for winning the Academy Awards. After denying RRR to be a Bollywood movie, he also associated his intention for movie making as commercial.

Rajamouli’s statement about RRR associated it with commercial value and not with critical acclaim. The statement has not gone too well with Indians. “I make films for money, I make films for the audiences. I don’t make films for critical acclaim. RRR is a commercial film, and once my film commercially does well, I’m very happy. Awards are an extension to it. It is for the hard work that my unit put in and I’m happy for that.”

RRR’s Naatu Naatu wins at Golden Globes in the Best Song Motion Picture
The foot-tapping hit from SS Rajamouli’s RRR, won the Best Song (Motion Picture) award at the 80th Golden Globes. The song is an ode to the friendship and celebrates dance and is featured on RRR lead stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s. It defeated the likes of Tylor Swift, Rihanna and Lady Gaga to register a win. Also, the song features in Original Song category for the 95th Academy Awards, and Ram Charan has said that if the film wins the Oscar, he and Jr NTR will probably dance on stage as well. The Telugu track Naatu Naatu is composed by veteran music director MM Keeravani and sung by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
