PS-1 Crossed 400 Crores At The Box-Office

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: 1 has been on a record-breaking spree at the Box Office after Beast and Valimai. Currently the movie touched 150 Crores in the Tamil Nadu State.

Mani Ratnam is one of the legendary filmmakers of the industry. Director has to his credit some of the most revenue making movies of Bollywood. Roja, Bombay, Anjali, Bombay, Dil Se, Guru and now Ponniyin Selvan Part 1, the list goes on and on. His movie Ponniyin Selvan part one or otherwise referred to as PS-1 crossed 400 Crores at the Box Office worldwide. Furthermore, there is no looking back for the movie. It has become only the third movie to reach the landmark after Rajnikanth’s 2.0 and Kamal Hassan’s Vikram which incidentally took the Bollywood by storm.

Mani Ratnam’s PS-1 crosses 400 Crores worldwide, beats Rajni’s 2.0 in the US

PS-1 continues to break records day by day. The movie analysts took to Twitter to report that movie recently broke Vikram’s record in Karnataka to reach the best earning Tamil film of 2022.

While Rajini’s 2.0 record stood at $5.50M has been overtaken by PS1 at the box office U.S. The latter has grossed $5.54M at the U.S box office. Here are the collections on the 11th and 12th day since its release.

  2. Total Collections 400 Crores

Mani Ratnam’s PS-1 crossed 400 Crores and is eyeing to beat Ulganayagan’s mid-2022 release “Vikram” which is at the first spot in the list with a huge 190 crores + gross. PS1 needs around 20 crores more to overtake Vikram’s biz in TN which it is certain to surpass by the second weekend.

Following the trends, the movie is expected to jump on the weekends. Made on a budget of 500 Crores, the movie so far has crossed 400 Crores. So far, the movie has shattered many records and continues to set more. Part-2 is also in the making.
