RRR has created quite a stir at the Box Office the world over. Not only did the movie set a record in the country, but it shone at the international arena as well. However, the movie failed to win any accolade at the recently conducted BAFTA Awards.
Recently a leading American publication shortlisted Jr NTR in contention for the Academy Awards in the Best actor category. If the information is correct, the actor’s performance as Komaram Bheem is listed amongst the best for the 95th Academy Awards. It was nothing less than a festive occasion for the fans. Fans could not help but heap praises on the social media. While one wrote, ‘Bheem deserves global’, another one added, ‘One and only ‘Man of Masses’ in this generation’. It was a proud moment for the countrymen, when ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the best song (Motion picture) at the 80th Golden Globes.

RRR is roaring with success in the international arena. After enthralling the audience worldwide, amazing acting puts the actor NTR Jr in contention for the top honour the Oscars. SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is making headlines as it created history by winning accolades at Golden Globes Awards. The film made India proud after it won The Best Original Song title for the Telugu track Naatu Naatu. However, many online surfers made NTR’s accent at the Golden Globes. Recently movie actress Pooja Bhatt has come in defense of the movie. All the drama started after many criticized the Telugu version for lacking appeal . Makers of the Telugu film are yet to comment on it but Pooja couldn’t stand by the trolls and strongly reacted to the criticism. She tweeted that it is a human tendency to bear own’s sorrow but cannot take others’ happiness.
NTR Jr in Contention for Oscars, faces online backlash for accent
This started when screenwriter Aniruddha Guha called out to those calling Naatu Naatu ordinary, RRR average, and making fun of JR NTR’s accent. He took up to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote what misery they are holding up since childhood that can’t bear someone’s happiness. To this Pooja Bhatt gave a savage reply against the trolls and came in support of RRR in which her sister Alia Bhatt played the role of Sita, Ram’s fiance.
