Celebrity power couple tied the knot at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu
One of the power couples of South Indian Cinema, Nayanthara-Vignesh landed in controversy recently. The couple got married in a dream wedding attended by family and celebrities from both Bollywood and Kollywood. After the wedding, the couple participated in Kalyanotsavam. For the unversed Kalvanotsavam Tirumala is a south Indian wedding ritual that lasts for over an hour. It is performed by Vaikasa Agama Sastra for the Utsava Murthy’s of the Lord along with His consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi in the Kalyana Mandapam. Soon after their wedding, Nayanthara-Vignesh Landed in trouble. Pictures show Nayanthara going inside the temple with the shoes, inviting the wrath of the temple authorities. Any temple does not permit the visitors entry with their shoes on.

Power couple Nayanthara-Vignesh landed in controversy, when Nayanthara roamed in the revered temple with the footwear on. Besides the authorities also blamed the star couple for conducting a photoshoot in the temple within the premises when it is clearly mentioned otherwise. Although the couple had rendered apologies, the authorities are still planning to send legal notice.
Couple says that they failed to realize they were wearing shoes.
Vignesh wrote on behalf of the couple and apologized for the whole set of events that followed. He wrote, “Dear all, we have always wanted our marriage to happen in Tirupati but due to logistical reasons that were not possible and we had to do our wedding in Chennai. To wholesomely complete our wedding, we made sure we headed to Tirupati directly from our wedding venue (without going home) to watch the Sami Kalyanam and to receive the blessings of Lord Balaji who we have utmost devotion. “
Both Nayanthara and Vignesh say the mistake was not intentional, issue apologies
“We had a wonderful darshan and wanted to click a picture outside the temple to have this day in our memory and to feel like the wedding got completed here, as per our wish but due to the crowd and chaos we had to exit the premises and re-enter at a time when there was a lesser commotion. In the hurry for a quick picture, we did not realize we had our footwear on when we got back later for the quick picture outside the temple. We are a couple who go to temples regularly and have immense faith in God. We have been to Thirumala almost 5 times in the past 30 days trying to do our wedding there!”

An epic wedding attended by lead celebrities and both bridegrooms looking nothing but angelic. Besides the lavish wedding, Nayanthara and Vinesh hosted lunch for thousands across the state of Tamil Nadu. They organized lunches for orphanages and old people’s homes in Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, and Salem. On Saturday, the beautiful couple attended a press conference and thanked the media for their blessings.
