Recently Anupam kher took to social media to share the news of actor’s health condition. Sharing an emotional video post of the actress offering her a role in his film The Signature, when he found out that Mahima was fighting breast cancer. Also the actress was in the hospital when Anupam called her. Actress was even moved when Anupam offered her the role without her wig. Calling her a hero he added,”“We don’t have real-life heroes and that’s what we are looking for.” For the unversed Anupam wife is also diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in 2021. She continues to be an example of being unstoppable.

Mahima revealed in an Instagram video that she did not go for a specific test. Rather the regular routine tests revealed the news. Although she did not have cancer symptoms, the physician still asked her to consult a cancer specialist. He informed the actress that she had pre cancer cells which could become cancer at a later stage . However the biopsy results revealed that some of the cells had become cancerous. She had to undergo chemotherapy at that time, but now is cancer-free
