All eyes are fixed on Irrfan Khan’s son as he gears up for his debut in Qala. During his interview, when he was asked his feelings on his dream debut, he outrightly expressed his disapproval of the term. Late actor Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar’s son Babil revealed this harsh truth in a recent interview, nobody would have bothered about his debut. Attributing his success to his father, he mentioned that his dream debut is attributed to his late father. Had he not been Irfan Khan’s son, he would not have received any opportunity. Additionally, he added he would have been just auditioning and would have looked for a suitable part in the movie. He also added that getting recognition was so much greater. His greatness could be revealed from the fact when he attributed the role to honour his mother’s up bringing. Also, he said he was happy doing a supporting role in a female led role.
“I don’t feel easy at all and makes me very uncomfortable. Why would an artist want that? I just don’t know. It’s not me. It kind of hurts me, a little bit.”

The film chronicles the complicated relationship between a singer and her mother against the background of 1940s in Kolkata. In the film, Babil appears as Tripti’s rival. Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz has produced the movie and will release on Netflix on December 1.
