Indians shine at Cannes Aishwarya Deepika and Madhavan steal the show at the premiere
American Period Drama Armageddon premiered on the third day of the 75th Cannes Film Festival. It stars Hollywood’s legend Anthony Hopkins, Anne Hathaway and Jeremy strong. The moment was emotional as the cast and crew of the movie received a seven minute audience standing ovation. James Gray has directed the movie. It seemed like the repetition of Tom Cruise’s 6 minute standing ovation for the movie Top Gun: Maverick. Hathaway and Gray emotional after the response
During the standing ovation one saw both Hathaway and Gray in tears in response to the crowd’s response. Armageddon is based on the Gray’s lown life in Queens, New York. Besides Hopkins and Hathaway, the newcomers Banks Repeta and Jaylin Webb have also worked in the film. Anne Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts and Alessandro Ambrosio walked the red carpet prior to the screening.
Deepika, Aishwarya and Madhavan shine on Day 3
The day belonged to India as they rocked at Cannes red Carpet. Actresses Aishwarya and Deepika cast magic on the red carpet whereas Madhavan made the country proud when his directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect received a 10 minute standing ovation from the audience.
Aishwarya Gorgeous Looks stole the show
Also hitting the carpet on the third Day were Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Madhavan. Loreal Brand Ambassador and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai turned heads in a Gaurav Gupta’s pink dramatic gown with a giant Halo. She complemented it with minimal accessories. Later, the designer Gaurav Gupta revealed that the gown was inspired by the birth of Venus who is called the goddess of beauty and love.
Deepika burnt the red carpet in Louis Vutton’s Red gown
Not surprising, Deepika chose to wear Louis Vutton’s scarlet red gown to dazzle the red carpet on Day 3. She complemented her dress with a beautiful snake Cartier necklace.Deepika added a new feather to her cap, when Louis Vutton chose her as a Brand Ambassador. The actress posed for the shutterbugs ahead of the premiere. Also she shared her looks on the instagram.
R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect receives a standing ovation
Another highlight of the third day was R Madhavan’s directorial Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Madhavan plays the role of the former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan who was falsely alleged of espionage. CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi and music director AR Rahman were also present at the screening. Indians shine at the Cannes, and the highlight of the evening R Madhavan’s Rocketry receiving a standing 10 minutes ovation at the Cannes.
Madhavan and ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan walked the Red Carpet
Both R Madhavan and Nambi Narayan on whose journey the movie is based walked the red carpet. The screening received a thunderous audience response and received a 10 minutes full standing ovation. Responding to the ovation, the actor who plays the role of the scientist in the movie said that he is excited as well as overwhelmed.

The movie is set to release in 6 languages worldwide Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada respectively.
