For Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam’s Sequel, it has been nothing short of a dream run. Even in its second week, movie still runs strong at the box office and continues to run ahead of Varun’s Bhediya.
Once again, the aura of Ajay Devgn is speaking at the Box office. Drishyam 2 is attracting masses to the theatres and each passing day, the crime thriller is witnessing higher numbers. Although, the recent released Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya was supposed to give the Ajay and Tabu starrer movie a run for the movie, it is apparent there is pretty much catching up for the latter. In fact, the news of movie battle of Drishyam 2 versus Bhediya was announced, it had caused a great degree of excitement amongst the fans. In spite of the promising start for Bhediya, it still has fallen short.
South Connection in Drishyam 2 versus Bhediya battle, a major factor for success
There is no denying the fact that in the battle of Drishyam 2 versus Bhediya, the former so far is holding the edge. And this can easily be attributed to its South Indian predecessor. For the unversed Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya released this Friday has also started on a great note. After posting slow numbers on the opening day, the movie has picked up over Saturday and has so far made Rs 15 Lakhs. It is expected to perform the same way on Sunday as well. On the other hand, there is no stopping for Drishyam 2, and the movie is all set to figure in the list of hits such as Bhool Bhulayiaa 2, Brahmastra, and The Kashmir Files. Even on its 10th day, the movie still runs strong in the range of 49-54%.
Bhediya might have started slow, but is expected to shine
Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya numbers might be low, but it is not yet over. With the movie’s revenue growing with each year and so is the occupancy. However, it still needs to be seen how much the movie progresses in the weekend. Filmmakers are hopeful that the movie shall pick up soon. Not only the revenues shall increase, but the overall occupancy shall show a promising trend.
