Drishyam 2 Movie Review: A Captivating Account of Twists, Turns and Drama

Ajay Devgn is one of the most versatile Bollywood actors and is someone who can be banked upon. Time and again he has delivered extraordinary performances, and Drishyam’s sequel is no exception.

Drishyam 2 Movie is built on the identical premises as the first one. Just like its predecessor, the director takes the Following a similar pattern like the first, the director of the movie Abhishek Pathak slowly provides the introduction and slowly makes a transition to the second half. Introduction of the fear element in the second half builds the eventual theme of the story. The story builds and showcases the tension in the narrative. By the second half, every character serves a specific purpose, and only elevates the suspense.

Drishyam 2 Movie is loaded with Twists and Turns

Story highlights the ordeal that Vijay Salgaonkar and his family underwent a couple of years ago. As the investigation team tries to uncover the truth, how long the truth shall remain hidden? Drishyam 2 movie also dives into how long the character of Vijay shall hide the truth. The movie takes inspiration from a Malayalam thriller of the same name. The sequel is the story of the movie seven years hence. The entire story revolves around the characters of Vijay (Theatre Owner), Anju (Elder Daughter) who still hasn’t recovered from the ordeal and younger daughter Anu, along with his wife (Shriya Saran), is moving on with life as usual—but always on guard. And with a haunting sense of fear which never leaves them. A series of unexpected events turn the Salgaonkars’ lives upside down when a truth threatens to change everything. Ajay Devgn again is phenomenal as a protective father, Akshaye Khanna, adds, Tabu shines as mother seeking justice for her son and Rajat Kapoor as an eager husband who just wants to get over with everything soon.

Movie Cast and Crew

Drishyam 2 has exceptional cast and crew with incredible caliber. Kamlesh Sawant reprises his role as Gaitonde, who is still ruthless and bloodthirsty for revenge. Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav, who play other Salgaonkars, have almost similar roles as they had in the previous part. Saurabh Shukla as writer Murad Ali plays his part well to resolve the mystery.
Amitabh Bhattacharya’s song Sahi Galat that comes with the credits and the title track is upbeat. Saath Hum Rahein is slow but perfectly filmed to capture the bond family share. The background score by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad) blends well and adds to the intensity of the drama.
Overall, Drishyam 2 dishes out plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked throughout, just like its predecessor. And the story of the Salgaokars will continue to remain in public memory.
