Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer movie has emerged as one of the Bollywood’s biggest hits. Although, many expected Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya would steal some of the movie’s flair, it did not happen. Continuing in its successful strides, the movie had a fantastic Saturday and stood strong against Varun Dhawan’s and Kriti’s Bhediya. Drishyam 2 Collection at the Box Office till now has touched over 125 Crores, which pertains to roughly 80-90% growth. has emerged as one of the biggest hits in 2022. There appears to be no stopping as the movie is expected to touch Rs 200 Crores. There is no denying the fact that both Ajay and Tabu are phenomenal actors and have a great fan following. These two factors along with an incredible storyline has contributed to the crime thriller’s mega success.
Second Weekend Sees Drishyam 2 Collection rise
Audience has given its verdict, Ajay Tabu starrer movie Drishyam 2 is still running strong as the movie enters its second weekend. Movie had an extraordinary weekend as Drishyam 2 Collection still keeps soaring. Probably the only movie which has withstood Drishyam’s aura is Varun Dhwan and Kriti Sannon Starrer Bhediya. Bhediya too picked up after a slow start and showed a decent 35-40% growth. Also, Drishyam 2 is the first movie in many years to have houseful shows at
Mumbai’s famous Maratha Mandir. The way the movie is proceeding, it shall soon take over Bhool Bhulaiyyaa 2’s lifetime collection of Rs 184 crore.
Drishyam 2 success attributed to an incredible storyline
Drishyam 2 features Devgn reprising his role as Vijay Salgoankar, while Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh. The suspense thriller depicts the family of Vijay struggles as they turn suspects after the death of the son of the Inspector General of Police. A remake of the acclaimed Malayalam film of the same name, which had featured Mohanlal, it stars some of the Bollywood’s big names. Besides Ajay and Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor play prominent roles. The first film released in 2015, and was directed by Nishikant Kamat, and had made around Rs 91 crore.
