Dhaakad gets mixed reviews, poor box office collection, Audience find the movie lacking engagement
Kangana starrer action thriller Dhaakad failed miserably at the box office. The action thriller movie was up against Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on the first day opening yesterday. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 movie’s horror creating sound effects are overboard and at times seem in effective also. However what saves the deal for the movie are its well-delivered one liners and punches. Although these are common but being apt with the situation they gel extremely well. On the other hand Dhaakad box office collection was way lower than expected. Dhaakad gets mixed reviews at the box office on the first day. It opened at a mere 1.2 crores much lesser than the 4 to 5 crores expected. Opening day of the movie has been even lesser than its previous two movies ‘Judgmental Hai Kya’ and ‘Panga’.

Kangana starrer movie was in constant news since day one, as it was expected to be one of the bollywood top grossers . Both Dhaakad and Bhool Bhulayian 2 were expected to challenge KGF 2, yet Dhaakad failed miserably. Dhaakad opened in about 2200 screens all over the country . On the other hand Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ has taken the biggest opening of the year in terms of Hindi films.
Kangana’s and Divya Dutta efforts went waste against the flawed story line
Kangana Ranaut”s physical fights, skillful weaponry and raw action is rarely shown female character. The way she dons the character is worthy of an applause. Divya Dutta proves time and again of her versatility. She lifts the story and provides support to the narrative. Arjun Rampal acts as the perfect villain and works hard to look as evil as possible. Also the choreography and camerawork is exceptional . In spite of all the pros the movie just lacks a story line. It just appears to be a collection of action shots. Writers could have done a better job as the storyline should have been solid.
Dhaakad fails to impress in spite of a great caste
There is no doubt that Dhaakad has an amazing star cast. However the eventual result of the movie disappoints you. Dhaakad is a 2 hours 10 minutes long movie and the lack of connection makes the movie look so much longer. For instance Arjun character could have done better with writing as he tries hard to bring more conviction. The director Rajneesh Ghai debut venture thus finishes short of expectations. Actors Sharib Hashmi and Saswata Chatterjee too are used upto their potential
