Bollywood evergreen actress Rekha has admitted in many interviews about her admiration for Big B. Both came close to each other during the movie Silsila.
The ‘Silsila’ of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha’s alleged love story is known to all. And look at the irony, their birthdays are also just one day apart. While Rekha’s birthday is on 10th, Amitabh’s Birthday falls on the 11th respectively. #HappyBirthdayAmitabhBachchan is currently trending on the social platform Twitter. Their relationship gained quite a hype after her sensational interview with Simi Grewal on her show ‘Rendezvous with Simi’. Amitabh and Rekha’s relationship was discussed during the talks. When the former actress asked Rekha about her relationship with Amitabh, she said that she had utmost regards for him. So far Amitabh Bachchan has shied away from giving any justifications or validity to these claims. In one of the interviews from the year 1978, Rekha had admitted of seeing Jaya Bachchan cry while watching one of her movies with Big B, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.

Jaya felt unsecured looking at Amitabh and Rekha’s relationship on screen
Rekha revealed in one of the interviews with the magazine Stardust about Jaya’s insecurity about hers and Amitabh’s on-screen chemistry. While watching the hit movie Muqaddar Ka Sikandar via a projection room along with the Bachchan family, she saw Jaya in tears. Additionally, the Umrao Jaan actress sat in the front row while Amitabh’s parents sat in the behind row. Rekha revealed, she could see see tears trickiling down Jaya’s eyes.
Furthermore, it was the last time the audience saw them together and the reason was obvious. It was long after Yash Chopra got Rekha, Amitabh and Jaya together in Silsila (1981). Also, in the same interview the actress revealed that the industry people had told her, Amitabh would not collaborate with her. Also, the actress revealed that Amitabh made the producers clear not to associate her with Rekha for any movie. Further in the interview, Rekha revealed that post the trail of the show she was told by many industry people that Amitabh would not work with her further. She revealed that the actor had made it clear to his producers that he would not work with her.
Amitabh and Rekha’s relationship created a rift with Jaya, the two seem to display a cordial relationship
Muqaddar Ka Sikandar screening created a gap between Jaya and Rekha who were extremely close earlier. During the interview with Simi Garewal in 1990s, Rekha denied saying that there was a rift between the two. Calling Jaya Didibhai (sister) she said that the actress was very mature.
