Sen’s ‘All that breathes’ premiere shall show at the Cannes Festival
75th international Festival de Cannes will take place from 17 to 28 May 2022. Shaunak Sen’s ‘All that breathes’ premiere has entered the special screening category at the mega event. Cannes is a reputed prestigious movie festival. It invites all leading celebrities from all across the globe. In the past, it has launched Quentin Tarantino and Guillermo del Toro after their movies performed extremely well with the audience. Besides having the Best Director, actor , actress and screenplay awards, it has three separate awards namely:
1.Jury Prize
2. Grand Prize
3.Palme d’Or which is awarded to the best film.

‘All that Breathes’ premieres at the Cannes, highlights pollution
Delhi based director Shaunak Sen’s ‘All That Breathes’ is all set to showcase at the Cannes. The Cannes jury nominated the documentary under Special Screening segment at the festival. A 90 minute long documentary, ‘ All that breathes’ is the story of two siblings Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who dedicate their entire lives to treat Black Kites. Although, the movie is nominated at the Cannes, it was appreciated at the Sundance.
Plot of the movie
The story is set up in the town of Wazirabad. People toss pieces of meat to these black kites. Feeding of meat symbolizes satisfaction of beliefs. The director has highlighted in the movie the adverse effects of the pollution. Birds falling from the sky represent our neglect towards the environment. Delhi is battling with both the Pollution as well as social turmoil. The documentary portrays story of Nadeem and Mohammad two brothers who run a bird clinic in Wazirabad. Shaunak Sen said that the subject’s association with the ecosystem greatly attracted him to the whole story.
Movie Release
The movie premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2022.Also, ‘All that Breathes‘ is selected for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Critics have applauded the documentary for its content.
