Kartik Aryan opens up on his walkout from the movie Dostana 2. Akshay Kumar shall play the role of the star now.
Kartik Aryan is riding high on the success of his movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The movie is a sequel to the Akshay Vidya starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Kartik Aryan was also a part of Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, however, there is a report that Akshay replaced Kartik Aaryan in the movie. A rumor that Kartik Aryan’s had a tiff with the producer-director. Kartik Aaryan has finally broken his silence on his alleged fallout with Karan Johar. In an interview with a news portal, the actor refrained from discussing the details. All he said n a recent interview with a leading news portal, “I focus on my work. That’s all I would like to say on this.”
Kartik rubbished rumors of his fallout with Karan, saying audience exaggerate
After Akshay replaced Kartik in Dostana 2, reports of his alleged fallout with Karan have been doing rounds. Many have held his indiscipline approach and behaviour to be the reason responsible for the exit, however, he denied all the rumours and opened up “What happens, at times, is people make ‘baat ka batangad’. There is nothing more to it. No one has so much time (to think so much). Everybody wants to work and do good work. Other than that, things are just rumours.” Dostana’s sequel was announced in 2019, however, the project was held up owing to the Pandemic. Kartik is not from a movie background, so when asked if not being from the film industry bother him, he pointed towards the line of movies he had. Pointing to the fact why Akshay replaced him he only remarked that there was no truth and it was blown out of proportion.
Dharma Productions remain silent, telling people to wait for announcement
According to many Kartik’s unprofessional behaviour is the reason why Akshay replaced Kartik. Although Dharma Productions have remained mum on the issue, the released a statement urging people to wait for the official announcement.
Kartik says that his professional life clashes with his personal
Although the actor has laughed off the rumours of his tiff with director Karan, he says that it does affect his personal life too. It all started when Akshay replaced Kartik in Karan’s Dostana 2. Everyone blamed the fallout with Karan as the reason. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor felt that the things are blown way too above the proportion, “Many times when things are blown out of proportion, it affects to a point that why it is happening. But after that, I feel bad for my family because they don’t belong to this world. Since I am from this industry, I have seen that nothing matters and you just need to focus on your work. But many times families are affected. That’s the only thing I get worried of, sometimes. Other than that, it doesn’t matter,” he said.
Kartik is currently promoting his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film is a follow-up to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which was directed by Priyadarshan and featured Akshay Kumar as a psychiatrist tasked with uncovering the truth of an ancestral palace believed to be haunted. The sequel, directed by Anees Bazmee, stars Kartik playing a character similar to Akshay’s. The horror-comedy also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu.
