Despite the towering personality of Akshay Kumar, recently released Samrat Prithviraj failed to show its magic at the box office. Consequently, the makers have put Akshay’s next venture ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ on hold. Besides Akshay, the movie stars Tiger Shroff. The unversed Akshay-Marashi starrer Samrat Prithviraj did not earn much at the Box office. With the movie collecting a dismal 55 crores after the first week, it is already labeled a box office failure. It was the first time both actors were sharing screen space. Although the news is heartbreaking for the Khiladi’s fans, producers cited budget constraints Budget constraints are the reasons cited behind the postponing of the movie, however, the fans speculate otherwise. Many fans view the failure of Akshay’s Prithviraj as the reason for the action. Fans’ assumption that Failure of Prithviraj makes producers rethink the cast is not baseless. With a budget of around 300 crores, the movie was nothing less than a high-end movie. Since the movie has been postponed the fans are upset. In February Vashu Bhagnani announced the sequel to the Amitabh-Govinda hit comedy released in 1998,” ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.

Looking at the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan sequel, the movie looks like an action packed movie. Akshay Kumar wrote making fun of Tiger, “The year you debuted in this world, I debuted in films. Phir bhi muqabla karoge Chote Miyan? Chal phir ho jaye full-on action!” Meanwhile Tiger tweeted, “Double Action, Double Dhamaka!! Ready Bade @akshaykumar.” Ali Abbas Zafar has directed the movie, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 2’ and it will release on Christmas 2023.
Producer says movie close to my heart, humbled to have Akshay and Tiger
Before putting Akshay’s next on Hold, Vashu Bhagnani had expressed his fondness for the movie and the producer David Dhawan. Consequently he felt encouraged to have Akshay and Tiger don the role of Amitabh and Govida. He added, “I am so humbled to have Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff be our Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan for a new generation of audiences in 2023.”
Movie Cast and Release
Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment are making ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ in association with AAZ films. Ali Abbas Zafar wrote and directed the movie. Also, the movie co-producers are Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar. The movie will be released in five languages Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
