Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is all geared up for his upcoming movie Vikram Vedha. Movie is a remake of the 2017 Tamil thriller of the same name, having Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the roles of Vikram and Vedha respectively.
Whenever a movie’s remake comes out, comparisons are bound to happen. Many Bollywood remakes failed as they failed to match the benchmark of their Tollywood originals. Thus, when Vikram Vedha teaser came out, it was but natural that the acting of Saif and Hrithik got compared to that of R Madhavan’s and Vijay Sethupathi. Also, the audience made comparisons of the two movies. Both Saif and Hrithik are currently drawing attention for their upcoming movie Vikram Vedha. Movie is all set to release on the 30th of this month. Recently Saif’s comparisons with Madhavan resulted in a befitting response.
Reporters sought answers to Saif’s comparisons with Madhavan, hear what he said
Although both Saif and Hrithik are seasoned actors and have given many hits. Their versatility has enabled them to stand the test of times and they still hold the same popularity among the masses. For the unversed Saif and Hrithik starrer Vikram Vedha shall soon the theatres. When the reporter pointed at Saif’s comparisons to Madhavan, it was going to generate a response. Saif replied that every actor bought something on the table. Additionally, he said that he hoped to add his own layer to the character.
‘I actually welcome comparisons’, says everyone is different
It is but obvious that undue comparison can create pressure. Saif’s comparisons with Madhavan also triggered him to comment. He mentioned that every actor is different. He further mentioned that he shall add his own spin to it.
“I respect Madhavan immensely. He did a great job but I know there will be comparisons. Somebody told me something once. We are called stars, and there is a whole galaxy of them. And the reason there are so many is that everyone is different. So, I hope I am able to bring an interesting take on it.”
Saif on being compared to Madhavan
When asked from Saif if held the critics and audience reviews seriously, he replied in negative. He mentioned that with so many critics and audience reviews, it becomes a confusing task. Madhavan also expressed his excitement over the Hindi version. Movie features Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles.
