Roger Federer came to India in the year in 2014 for IPTL, the International Premier Tennis League. The visit always had a special place in his heart. Fondly known as GOAT. Additionally, he played a match with Deepika Padukone against Novak Djokovic and Sania Mirza in New Delhi. Roger Federer had jokingly laughed about his age on his 41st Birthday.

Injuries, age and wearing down prompted Roger Federer’s Retirement

The greatest of all times Roger entertained the fans like no other. His mastery of the game accompanied by the spirit to play made him the beloved of fans and rivals both. The Legendary eight-time Wimbledon champion was battling a knee injury for the past few seasons and underwent his third knee surgery last year. The 41-year-old has been out of action since a quarter-final loss at Wimbledon in 2021.
