Ever since Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy news became viral, fans have poured love on the couple. However Ranbir’s Joke about Alia’s weight gain just didn’t go well with the public. After the Brahmastra star received criticism for the joke, he now apologized for his sarcastic rumour. Although Ranbir clarified his stand that it was done in a good faith, he still felt sorry for his mistake. Rendering apologies for the joke about Alia’s weight he admitted cracking a bad joke.

Social Media users criticize Ranbir’s Joke about Alia’s weight gain
Ranbir is one of Bollywood’s most adored actors and has a massive fan following. However his recent comment about his wife’s weight gain was not appreciated. Soon the criticism started and it just went viral. Now clarifying Ranbir opened up saying that it was a mere joke and he loved his wife. Also he apologized for hurting the sentiments of his fans. On one of the You Tube live session promotions of their movie Brahmastra , someone asked the reason why are the two not promoting the movie actively.
Alia opened up saying, “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailoed (spreading) everywhere, right now our focus is…” Ranbir cut her mid-sentence and pointed at his wife’s baby bump while saying, “Well I can say somebody has phailoed (referencing her weight gain).” Although he smiled and clarified, he was joking, but the online public didn’t seem like in a forgiving mode. They condemned him for ‘fat-shaming’ his wife.
