As her ‘Dobaara failed to show promise on the opening day, it appears iaudience is asking her to eat back her words. ” Dobaara Ko Nahi Dekhenge’ ( We shall not watch Dobaara). For those who have seem to be saying ,” Dobaara Ko Dobaara Nahi Dekhenge.” ( We shall not see Dobaara again). She had joked in the interview to boycott her movie, as she would feel out of place otherwise. Audience fulfills duo’s wish through a low footfall.Taapsee also challenged that the people who call for boycotts hardly go out to the theatres to watch the movies.
Humari picture boycott nahin kiya, toh we’ll feel out of place. Toh please boycott karte rehna. We should be in the league of Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, and in the league of the films that are being boycotted. We are also a part of Bollywood, we don’t want to feel out of place.”

Provoked by condescending remarks, Audience fulfills duo’s wish
Anurag Kashyap’s movie is trending for his comments on India Today’s interview. Both he and the lead actress urged the audience to boycott their movie Dobaara. The movie is an official remake of the Spanish ‘Mirage’. Registering a meagre occupancy of only 2-3%, it lead to the cancellation of shows. Movie made on a budget of Rs 50 Crores is expected to make just about 2 crores. The movie’s performance, clearly goes on to prove the hindi proverb,” YEH JO PUBLIC HAI, YEH SAB JANTI HAI”, ( This public knows everything).
